Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Application Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise application and integration architecture, Java/Spring, cloud platforms, and modern engineering practices and a proven ability to design and guide scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions aligned to strategy and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end application architecture for multi-tier and microservices solutions.
• Define integration patterns, REST APIs, and event-driven designs using Kafka or MQ.
• Create architecture diagrams, high-level and low-level designs, and reference architectures.
• Partner with business, engineering, and solution teams to align designs with enterprise standards.
• Conduct architectural reviews, identify technical debt, and recommend remediation.
• Guide cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP with security by design.
• Support performance, scalability, and reliability engineering across platforms.
• Mentor engineers and influence enterprise-wide architecture practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years in software development and application design with Java/J2EE and Spring/Spring Boot.
• 5+ years as an Application Architect or Technical Lead.
• Expertise in microservices, REST APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven systems using Kafka or MQ.
• Cloud-native design on AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, SAML, and JWT with focus on application security.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), and build tools (Maven or Gradle).
• Ability to produce solution roadmaps and comprehensive design documentation.

Preferred Skills:

• UML, sequence and ER diagramming; API design with Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Tools: Git or Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence.
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments.
• Background in application modernization or cloud migration, domain-driven design, and API-first governance.
• Industry experience in financial services or other regulated sectors.
