Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Microservices AWS Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, REST APIs, and Amazon Web Services.

The developer will collaborate with architects, product managers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and other developers to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.

• Build scalable RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.

• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.

• Work with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, and IAM.

• Design event-driven and asynchronous systems using Kafka, AWS SQS, or AWS SNS.

• Develop reusable components and follow established coding standards and design patterns.

• Integrate microservices with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Implement application security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, Spring Security, and AWS IAM.

• Create unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and related testing frameworks.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.

• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them through Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or AWS EKS.

• Monitor application performance using CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, or similar monitoring tools.

• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and deployment procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong programming experience with Java 8 or later.

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.

• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra.

• Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, or AWS SNS.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.

• Experience with Git, Maven, or Gradle.

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

• Experience writing unit, integration, and automated tests.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Developer, Solutions Architect, or DevOps certification.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

• Experience with serverless application development using AWS Lambda.

• Knowledge of service discovery, API gateways, circuit breakers, and distributed tracing.

• Experience with OpenAPI or Swagger documentation.

• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or Datadog.

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.

• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and Test-Driven Development.

• Experience with performance optimization and application security best practices.
