Role: Java Production Support
Location: Reston, VA or Washington, DC (Hybrid – Onsite once a month)
Shift: Night Shift (11 PM – 7 AM, Monday–Friday)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Java Production Support to support production systems during the night shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful Web Services, ensuring reliability, stability, and continuous uptime of critical CareFirst applications.
Required Skills- Provide production support for mission-critical applications during off-hours.
- Troubleshoot system and application issues in real-time to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for incident follow-up and documentation.
- Manage deployments, health checks, and system monitoring activities.
- Participate in on-call escalation when required.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services.
- Solid experience in production support environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Exposure to Big Data platforms – a plus.
Mandatory Requirements
Candidates must be able to:- Work the overnight shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM EST).
- Participate in rotating weekend support schedules.
- Attend an onsite second-round interview in either Washington, DC or Reston, VA (no exceptions).
- Attend 2–3 weeks of onsite training in Washington, DC or Reston, VA before transitioning to the regular support schedule.
- Work onsite once per month following training.
