Position OverviewOversee safety, quality, and efficiency in the jaw plant.Work with Safety Mojo, Microsoft Office, and Time Clocks Plus software.RequirementsExperience operating a jaw crusher, and operating or training others on a jaw/secondary crushing plant.Experience across all plant types - rip rap, wash, and crushing.Self-motivated, with the ability to recognize and resolve quarry, plant, and waterfront hazards.Strong communication skills; works well with all personnel to minimize conflict and build teamwork.Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including in extreme heat and cold.Able to perform manual labor, including lifting to 50 pounds.Basic computer skills, including MS Office, Safety Mojo, and Time Clocks Plus.A champion of Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel Company's values: Safety First, Family Atmosphere, Positive Attitude, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, and Dedication.ResponsibilitiesSafety: Lead daily safety huddles and the Good Catch/Near Hit program; conduct workplace exams and site inspections to identify and correct hazards.Production: Review production goals, investigate shortfalls through root cause analysis, monitor dust suppression and overall plant operation, check stockpiles hourly, and report maintenance issues promptly.Personnel: Monitor team morale and well-being; enter employee hours into the timekeeping system.Plant management: Make regular on-site visits and stay actively involved in hourly production management; learn all plant tasks to backup-operator level; fill in for management during temporary vacancies.Compliance: Ensure compliance with MSHA and applicable state and federal environmental agencies (EPA).Maintain housekeeping standards in all plant and storage areas.Perform other duties as assigned.Cumberland River Quarry is an Equal Opportunity Employer and takes Affirmative Action for Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.
