ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience working in the jewelry industry is desired. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines and under pressure. Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work. Must be based in and currently hold authorization to work the United States. Proven track record in achieving sales results. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to work with a diverse client base. Proficiency with Point of Sales (POS) systems, client tracking systems and Microsoft Outlook/email.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Preferred Bachelors Degree or equivalent. Prefer a graduate gemologist degree or previous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) course work is preferred. One (1) or more years of recent experience working in the jewelry industry is preferred. Experience in high end jewelry sales or art gallery experience is preferred. A minimum of 5 years retail or luxury retail experience or relevant customer-related experience (i.e. luxury hospitality, etc.)
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
REASONING ABILITY: Position does not work outside the scope of duties.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Demonstrated knowledge about Jewelry is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, customer service skills and the ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasks is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve sitting while completing paperwork or using a computer. Duties include kneeling, squatting, bending, walking, crouching, stooping, and standing with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move general office supplies and merchandise. Essential duties involve a standard workweek with additional hours occasionally required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Essential duties involve working primarily in an inside environment.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Various general office supplies and equipment include computers, calculators, fax machines, photocopiers, printers, staplers and tape.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Starting at $17.00+ per hour BOE plus commission
