Role Overview
GW Hillel seeks a Jewish Life and Israel Engagement Manager who brings contagious energy and passion for Judaism and Israel. An ideal candidate has an innate ability to build relationships and inspire students to make a commitment to Jewish life, paired with a passion for Israel and the vision to lead a robust and diverse Israel agenda on campus. The Jewish Life and Israel Engagement Manager will work closely with a multi-dimensional education and programmatic team, working to advance GW Hillel''s overall engagement strategy and Israel engagement plan.
In this role, you will be the primary manager of GW Hillel's Israel Engagement plan. Informed by student needs and organizational values, the GW Hillel Israel Engagement plan blends education, relationship building, leadership opportunities, and immersive experiences to help students at GW develop their own relationship with Israel. You are a deep thinker, a master relationship builder, and possess extremely high emotional intelligence. Drawn to learning and facilitating intellectual conversations, often across a broad range of backgrounds, experiences, and opinions, you will utilize these skills to engage GW students, Jewish and non-Jewish, in conversations related to Israel. You will be responsible for ensuring meaningful and diverse opportunities for Israel education, identifying and cultivating student leaders who are passionate about Israel, and consistently promoting a welcoming and lively pluralistic Jewish community. You will be well-versed in the moment facing the Jewish community right now, and will support students in taking ownership of their Jewish experience and connection to Israel. The Jewish Life and Israel Engagement Manager reports to the Managing Director.
