Duties
- Plan and implement a comprehensive mathematics program of study for students in grades 5-8.
- Utilize effective instructional strategies and assessment practices to support student growth and achievement.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of junior high students.
- Maintain responsibility for the safety and well-being of students under direct supervision.
- Develop and maintain lesson plans with clear learning objectives aligned to district and state standards.
- Evaluate student progress on a regular basis and communicate achievement through progress reports and other reporting methods.
- Maintain accurate records and submit required reports in a timely manner.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with students, parents, and guardians.
- Assist administration in implementing district policies and student conduct expectations.
- Establish and maintain a fair, consistent, and positive classroom management system.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional competence.
- Attend faculty, team, and district meetings as required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by administration.
Qualifications
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate Mathematics endorsement.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and Faith''s Law requirements.
Salary/Benefits
Salary is based upon education and experience according to the district salary schedule.
Benefits include:
- 12 Sick Days

- Up to 2 Professional Leave Days
- $7,560 Board Contribution Toward Health Insurance
- Tuition Reimbursement of $175 per approved college credit hour
