The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Systems Engineer to support Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF 401). The Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership in the design, integration, analysis, testing, and evaluation of Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) capabilities. This position requires expertise in systems engineering, architecture development, systems integration, requirements management, and operational analysis to ensure the successful development, acquisition, fielding, and sustainment of complex C-UAS systems. The Systems Engineer will leverage Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, Power BI, Python, AI-enabled analytical tools, and digital engineering methodologies to evaluate system performance, assess interoperability, manage technical risks, and deliver integrated mission capabilities supporting senior military and civilian leadership.

Responsibilities:

·         Apply systems engineering principles throughout the lifecycle of C-UAS capabilities, including requirements development, architecture design, integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment.

·         Utilize Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, Power BI, Python, and AI-enabled analytical tools to support technical analysis, systems integration, operational assessments, and decision-making.

·         Develop and manage system architectures, interface requirements, functional decompositions, and technical baselines supporting integrated C-UAS capabilities.

·         Analyze system performance, interoperability, reliability, maintainability, scalability, and operational effectiveness across sensors, effectors, command and control systems, communications networks, and supporting infrastructure.

·         Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation including requirements traceability matrices, interface control documents (ICDs), system specifications, architecture diagrams, technical risk assessments, and verification plans.

·         Support operational assessments, technology demonstrations, developmental testing, operational testing, experimentation events, and capability evaluations.

·         Collaborate with engineers, software developers, cyber specialists, network engineers, data scientists, acquisition personnel, operators, and mission stakeholders to integrate complex technical systems into operational capabilities.

·         Conduct technical trade studies, engineering analyses, technology assessments, and capability gap analyses supporting acquisition strategies and modernization efforts.

·         Evaluate emerging technologies, AI-enabled capabilities, autonomous systems, sensor fusion solutions, and advanced C-UAS architectures for operational applicability.

·         Develop dashboards, technical reports, engineering analyses, executive briefings, and decision-support products communicating complex technical information to senior military and civilian leadership.

·         Leverage artificial intelligence and automation technologies to improve systems engineering processes, technical analysis, and operational decision support.

·         Identify technical risks, integration challenges, interoperability issues, and engineering solutions throughout system development and deployment.

·         Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable systems engineering standards, cybersecurity requirements, configuration management policies, and data governance practices.

·         Maintain awareness of emerging C-UAS technologies, systems engineering methodologies, digital engineering practices, and evolving operational requirements to continuously improve mission capabilities.

Qualifications:

Required:

·         Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.

·         BA/BS with 4+ years; AA/AS with 8+ years; or HS/GED with 10+ years.

·         Demonstrated experience applying systems engineering principles to the design, integration, testing, or sustainment of complex technical systems.

·         Experience utilizing Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, or similar enterprise data integration and analytics platforms.

·         Experience developing dashboards, reports, and technical visualizations using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.

·         Working knowledge of Python for automation, data analysis, scripting, or engineering support activities.

·         Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, machine learning applications, or advanced analytics platforms to support engineering analysis and operational decision-making.

·         Knowledge of systems architecture, systems integration, interface management, requirements development, verification and validation (V&V), and configuration management.

·         Experience developing engineering documentation, technical specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), system architectures, and technical assessments.

·         Experience supporting system integration, interoperability analysis, technology evaluations, or operational testing.

·         Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to develop technical documentation, engineering reports, executive briefings, and presentation materials.

·         Ability to communicate complex engineering concepts and technical recommendations to senior military and civilian leadership.

·         Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, operational, cyber, acquisition, and analytical teams in dynamic mission environments.

Desired:

·         Experience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Homeland Security, or Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) organizations.

·         Familiarity with systems engineering frameworks such as INCOSE, ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and Digital Engineering practices.

·         Experience supporting developmental test and evaluation (DT&E), operational test and evaluation (OT&E), technology demonstrations, or capability development initiatives.

·         Knowledge of C-UAS sensors, radars, RF systems, electro-optical/infrared systems, electronic warfare systems, command and control architectures, communications networks, and kinetic/non-kinetic defeat capabilities.

·         Experience supporting CJADC2, data fusion, common operating picture development, mission command systems, or enterprise systems integration.

·         Familiarity with cloud-based architectures, software-defined networking, digital engineering environments, AI-enabled systems, autonomous systems, and enterprise data governance.
