Jira Consultant (90-Day Contract)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Jira Consultant to assess and optimize an enterprise Atlassian environment, with a primary focus on Jira Service Management (JSM). This consultant will evaluate the current platform, identify opportunities for improvement, recommend strategic solutions, and implement enhancements that improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and platform governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the Jira and Jira Service Management environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform configuration, workflows, automation, governance, and reporting.
• Develop and present recommendations and a prioritized roadmap for platform optimization.
• Configure and implement approved enhancements to improve service management processes and user experience.
• Partner with IT leadership and key stakeholders to align platform capabilities with business needs.
• Establish best practices for platform administration, governance, and ongoing support.
• Create documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal administrators.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise Jira administration and consulting experience.
• Deep expertise with Jira Service Management (JSM).
• Experience assessing, designing, and optimizing Jira environments.
• Strong understanding of ITSM/ITIL best practices.
• Experience with workflow design, automation, reporting, and platform governance.
• Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Atlassian certifications.
• Experience with Atlassian Cloud, Assets (CMDB), and Confluence.
• Experience with enterprise integrations and AI-enabled workflow automation.
