Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Jira / Atlassian Developer to design, develop, configure, customize, and support Atlassian solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, workflow automation, scripting, integrations, and software development. The role will work closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions that improve development, manufacturing, quality, and business processes.

The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, experience working in Agile environments, and the ability to develop automation and integrations using technologies such as Java, Groovy, Python, JavaScript, and SQL. Experience with CI/CD tools, enterprise integrations, and AI/LLM capabilities within Atlassian environments is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, customize, and maintain Jira and Atlassian solutions based on business and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Jira workflows, screens, fields, schemes, permissions, automations, and custom configurations.
  • Administer and support Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), Jira Work Management, and Confluence.
  • Develop scripts, automation, and custom solutions using Java, Groovy, Python, JavaScript, JSP, and SQL.
  • Integrate Jira and Atlassian products with enterprise applications, APIs, CRM, ERP, and other business systems.
  • Integrate Atlassian products with CI/CD tools and development platforms, including Jenkins, Maven, and SonarQube.
  • Perform Atlassian environment data migrations while maintaining data integrity and minimizing business disruption.
  • Create and maintain Confluence spaces, permissions, documentation, and knowledge bases.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
    Analyze complex technical problems and develop scalable, reliable, and user-friendly solutions.
  • Support Agile development practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
    Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture artifacts, process models, integration models, data models, and technical design documents.
  • Support application security, testing, deployment, performance optimization, and software quality processes.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to improve Atlassian platform capabilities and development efficiency.
  • Explore and integrate AI/LLM capabilities with Jira for intelligent ticket classification, summarization, recommendations, automation, and conversational interfaces.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering solutions within established timelines and business requirements.
  • Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization of the Atlassian environment.
  • Work independently while maintaining strong communication with business stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Experience with automotive manufacturing and quality management processes is highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in software development.
  • Strong experience with Jira, Atlassian, and Confluence.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira configuration, customization, workflows, and automation.
  • Experience with Java, Groovy, Python, JavaScript, or SQL.
  • Experience with Jira Service Management (JSM) and Atlassian integrations.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, Jenkins, Maven, and SonarQube.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Automotive manufacturing or quality management experience is a plus.
  • AI/LLM integration experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to work onsite 4 days per week.
