Title: Job Coach
Job Summary
Provides job coaching, employment supports, and skills training to young adults with disabilities participating in a grant-funded program. Supports individuals working in competitive jobs and internships within the food service and child care industries, helping them build independence and employment readiness.
Pay: 24.00/hr.
Part Time: 20hrs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 on-the-job training and job coaching in community-based settings
- Support participants in internships, job trials, and workplace learning activities
- Assist individuals in developing employment and life skills
- Adapt environments to promote independence and success
- Maintain professional communication with employers, families, and team members
- Complete required documentation, progress notes, and data tracking
- Provide advocacy and case management support as assigned
- Transport individuals to and from work when needed using a personal vehicle
- Follow agency policies, funding requirements, and confidentiality standards
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- GED required
- Minimum one year of experience working with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or related experience
Skills & Requirements
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed
- Ability to communicate in English and/or ASL (ASL preferred, not required)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license required
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to stand and walk for up to one hour at a time
- Work performed in offices, program sites, vehicles, and community locations
