JOB COACH - part-time Mondays and Wednesday 1:00p - 4:00p and every third Sunday 10:00a - 1:00p Do you have a talent for motivating others? Do you have a passion to help others succeed? Blue Sky, Inc provides individualized training and follow-up support services, which enhances stability and job retention for our participants in employment situations. We are seeking a part-time Job Coach for the Moorhead area that can provide coaching on the job site with adults with disabilities. Wage is $18 - $20 DOE Responsibilities to include: - Providing necessary job shadowing support (on site job training or coaching), to ease transition of participant into community business sites.
- Assist participant in transferring generalized learned skills to a new site making adjustments that are necessary.
- Provide an open channel of communication with the employer, family, other team members, and placement specialist regarding progress and performance.
- Adapt to several work site environments involving a variety of tasks, duties, employer/employee relationships operations and procedures, etc.
- Assist the employer in modification/restructuring of jobs for workers with disabilities, when necessary.
- Provides participant performance data to Supervisor on a timely basis.
- Assist participant in transition to community employment through developing social skills, personal awareness, and understanding of each individual abilities as well as limitations.
- Conducts oneself as a positive role model for participants in terms of appearance, socialization, conversation and teamwork.
What We’re Looking For: - Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and a personal vehicle (must be able to transport up to three individuals)
- Proficient in English (additional languages a plus)
- Comfortable working independently and adapting to new environments
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
- Must meet state/county licensing and pass background screening
