Job Coach (Part-Time) – McKinneySupport students with disabilities in real job settings and help them build independence and confidence in the workplace.Position SummaryWork Ready is seeking a part-time Job Coach to support high school students with mild to moderate disabilities who are participating in community‐based Work Experience placements. The Job Coach assists students directly at local employer sites to help them learn job tasks, understand workplace expectations, and build independence.ResponsibilitiesProvide on‑site support to students during their work shifts.Teach and reinforce job skills needed for workplace success.Model appropriate professional behavior and communication.Support students in problem‑solving and understanding workplace expectations.Communicate observations, progress, and concerns to Work Ready staff as needed.Assist in developing strategies, accommodations, or prompts to increase independence.Represent Work Ready professionally at employer partner locations.ScheduleMonday-Thursday, 9:00-2:00 pmStart date: June 1stQualificationsAbility to pass a criminal background check.Completion of UNT WISE Job Skills Training (online certification) upon hire (assistance provided).Ability to transport students in your personal vehicle to and from the worksite.Preferred Experience (not required):Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Education, Coaching, Counseling, Mental Health, Social Work, Non‑Profit, or other Human Services fields.Desired AttributesDependable and professionalStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPatient, supportive, and team‑orientedComfortable working in community job settingsAbout Work ReadyWork Ready provides vocational training and employment support services to individuals with disabilities across Texas.
