Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior R&D Engineer to design, develop, and enhance Medium Voltage (MV) power distribution products. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in product design, reliability engineering, industry standards, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.
Job Title: R&D Senior Engineer Medium Voltage (MV) Reclosers
Location: Mebane, NC (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Medium Voltage (MV) power distribution products.
- Support new product development and continuous product improvements.
- Conduct design reviews, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering activities.
- Prepare engineering documentation, technical reports, and design records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support product testing, qualification, and certification activities.
- Contribute to product innovation and design improvements.
- Utilize engineering analysis and simulation tools to validate product performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical power equipment or Medium Voltage (MV) distribution products.
- Hands-on experience with MV Reclosers, circuit breakers, switches, or similar power distribution equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience with thermal, dielectric, or structural simulation tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
