Software Engineer with strong experience in
software development, API development, and system integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting large-scale production applications, with a strong emphasis on
backend development using C#/.NET.
The Software Engineer will work closely with
product, business, engineering, and third-party/vendor teams to build reliable, scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support large-scale software applications in production environments.
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
- Design and implement integrations between internal applications and third-party/vendor systems.
- Participate in data mapping and transformation activities to ensure accurate and reliable data exchange.
- Deliver system interfaces across multiple teams and resolve complex integration issues.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Build reusable components, libraries, and services that improve engineering efficiency.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, resiliency, and reliability.
- Identify and address technical debt and opportunities for system improvements.
- Develop automated tests and maintain high standards for code quality.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and production support.
- Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, engineers, vendors, and other technical teams.
- Document technical solutions through code, technical documentation, diagrams, and design specifications.
- Support and mentor junior engineers on technical practices and software craftsmanship.
- Partner with security teams to implement secure development practices.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and develop prototypes where appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments.
- Strong experience with API development and system integration across internal and/or third-party systems.
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in the airline or aviation industry.
- Experience working with vendor and third-party systems, including integration and production support.
- Experience with system administration, configuration, and environment support.
- Experience leading data mapping and transformation exercises.
- Demonstrated success delivering system interfaces across multiple teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and integration problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with product, business, and technical stakeholders.
- Full-stack development experience with an emphasis on backend engineering.
