Overview:

The Jobsite Logistics Coordinator (JLC) I supports the coordination of material logistics, delivery, and inventory processes for assigned projects. This role focuses on executing established logistics plans, maintaining accurate records, and assisting project teams with material flow and jobsite support. The JLC I works closely with project leadership, warehouse teams, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and proper tracking of Packaged Alterman Construction Kits (PACK).

Essential Functions:

1. Project Start: 30%

  • Assists in gathering logistical requirements for assigned projects (delivery areas, laydown yards, access points, etc.).
  • Supports development and updates of jobsite logistics maps and delivery instructions.
  • Coordinates with project teams to confirm delivery schedules and site readiness.
  • Communicates logistics expectations to vendors and project teams under direction of JLC II or leadership.
  • Helps ensure jobsite setup aligns with established logistics standards and procedures.

2. Project Duration: 50%

  • Tracks and coordinates deliveries of materials, tools, and PACK kits to jobsites.
  • Maintains accurate logs of inventory, deliveries, and material movements.
  • Assists in monitoring supply chain operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Communicates delivery updates and issues to project teams and supervisors.
  • Coordinates with vendors to confirm shipment timing and resolve discrepancies.
  • Supports PACK tracking from warehouse/manufacturing to installation point.
  • Assists with basic data collection (delivery accuracy, delays, material issues).
  • Helps facilitate use of logistics and purchasing tools by field teams.

3. Project Closeout: 10%

  • Assists with jobsite clean-off and material reconciliation.
  • Coordinates return of unused materials and tools to warehouse or vendors.
  • Helps identify reusable materials and supports redistribution efforts.
  • Supports documentation of project closeout logistics activities.

4. General Support: 10%

  • Performs administrative and coordination tasks to support logistics operations.
  • Assists JLC II and leadership with process improvements and data gathering.
  • Assists JLC II and JLC III with time studies as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–2 years of experience in construction, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain preferred.
  • Basic understanding of logistics, inventory, or construction workflows preferred.
  • Exposure to construction jobsite operations is a plus.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) for material handling and logistics processes.
  • Able to learn and use logistics systems and tools, which could include systems such as Kojo, Bitrip, One Key, Samsara, JD Link, Microsoft Suite, and Bluebeam.

Work Environment:

  • Construction environment with frequent travel to jobsites.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to talk and hear.
  • Must be able to frequently sit.
  • Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, climb, balance, crouch or crawl, stoop, and kneel.
  • Must be able to safely operate a vehicle to travel to and from job sites.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to safely maneuver in a construction environment.
