MANTECH seeks a motivated, career‑ and customer‑oriented Joint C2 Planning and Integration Specialist to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as a senior subject‑matter expert in Joint Command and Control (C2), integrating cybersecurity, IT operations, and communications systems into operational planning across all phases of the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP). Provides expert guidance on how J6 equities shape mission analysis, COA development, COA comparison, COA decision, and plan/order production.
  • Acts as the primary J6 representative during Operational Planning Teams (OPTS), working groups, and boards. Advocates for communications, cyber, and IT requirements; ensures C2 capabilities are accurately captured in planning artifacts; and synchronizes J6 inputs with other functional and component staff sections.
  • Leads the development, refinement, and maintenance of Annex K (Communications Systems) for OPLANs, CONPLANs, OPORDs, and FRAGORDs. Ensures Annex K accurately reflects theater communications architecture, cybersecurity requirements, spectrum considerations, interoperability constraints, and mission‑specific C2 capabilities.
  • ·Bridges the gap between cybersecurity/IT operational strategies and the complex landscape of government policies, regulations, and frameworks. Ensures all C2 and cyber‑related planning efforts comply with DoD, Joint Staff, and federal cybersecurity directives.
  • Analyzes and interprets a wide range of cybersecurity policies and regulations (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA), translating them into clear operational procedures, planning inputs, and command‑level guidance.
  • Plays a key role in developing and refining cybersecurity, IT, and C2 strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals, Combatant Command objectives, and U.S. Government policy direction.
  • Communicates policy updates, planning changes, and technical impacts to internal teams. Fosters a culture of cybersecurity awareness, compliance, and operational discipline.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Joint Operational Planning and in cybersecurity or IT operations with emphasis on policy analysis, integration, and compliance
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Public Policy, or related field; 4 years of additional Joint Operational Planning experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in government operational environments with strong understanding of cybersecurity policies and regulations (NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, etc.)
  • Proven experience interpreting and implementing operational signal capabilities and cybersecurity policies within operational settings. Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and operational best practices

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Public Policy, or related field
  • Experience with government policy development and interagency coordination
  • Relevant certifications in cybersecurity or policy management (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), etc.).
  • Knowledge of specific government cybersecurity initiatives and programs. Ability to anticipate future policy trends and proactively adapt operational strategies.
  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or component

Clearance Requirements

  • Must have a current/active Secret security clearance
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance

Physical Requirements

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
