Position TitleSenior Human Resources GeneralistResponsibilities and RequirementsUnder general direction of the Human Resources Manager II, this position serves as a strategic HR partner responsible for administering and leading a broad range of human resources functions while providing direct supervision to the Talent Acquisition team and Human Resources Generalist staff. The position supports organizational goals through leadership in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy administration, training and development, and labor relations. The Senior Human Resources Generalist performs confidential tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the County. This role provides prompt courteous service to customers. This is an on-site role.Associate's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Public Administration or related field required, bachelor's degree (preferred), or equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in human resources, including employee relations, workplace investigations, recruitment, performance management, learning and development is required. Minimum of one (1) year experience supervising staff is required. Experience performing complex and responsible administrative duties. Experience in a public sector or unionized environment preferred. Valid State of Illinois Driver's License and minimum automobile insurance as required by law.
