Journeyman Automotive Technician — GM Dealership

Pay: $25–$45 per hour Modern Auto Company — a Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC dealership — is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our growing service department. We’re looking for a skilled technician who can handle a wide range of diagnostics and repairs and wants to work in a professional, team-oriented GM dealership with steady work and strong support. Job Responsibilities - Diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical and electrical issues on GM vehicles
- Perform maintenance, brake work, suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and drivability repairs
- Use GM factory diagnostic equipment and service information
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Perform multi-point inspections and recommend needed services
- Accurately document work performed and communicate with service advisors
- Follow GM procedures and safety standards
Qualifications - Journeyman-level technician experience
- ASE certifications and/or GM training preferred
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workflow
- Experience in a dealership environment preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
