Journeyman CNC Machinist (2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: $39.09/hour + $2.00/hour shift differential
Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:55 PM (Monday–Friday)
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Journeyman CNC Machinist to support manufacturing operations in a precision machining environment. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality components while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Operate vertical and horizontal CNC mills to machine parts to specification
Set up, run, and monitor CNC machining operations to meet production and quality requirements
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate part production
Use precision measuring instruments and inspection tools to verify dimensions and maintain tight tolerances
Perform routine machine adjustments, tool changes, and basic troubleshooting to support efficient operations
Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment
Follow established manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and applicable shop standards
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve machining and quality concerns
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Journeyman papers required
Minimum of three (3) years of CNC machining experience required
Experience operating CNC mills in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply GD&T principles
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Working knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry
Ability to work 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 11:55 PM)
