Position Summary
Apex Circuitry, a division of Farbman Group, is seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial properties. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
Diagnose electrical issues and perform troubleshooting and corrective repairs.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
Install conduit, panels, breakers, lighting systems, and control wiring.
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
Communicate effectively with customers, property managers, and team members.
Complete service reports, work orders, and project documentation accurately.
Assist with emergency service calls as needed.
Requirements
Current Michigan Journeyman Electrician License.
Minimum 3+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, troubleshooting, and installation practices.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience with commercial service work, tenant improvements, and maintenance projects.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders, lifts, and rooftops when required.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in occupied commercial office, retail, or industrial properties.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Experience with generators, controls, lighting upgrades, and energy-efficient systems.
