Journeyman Electrician

BlueWave is hiring a Journeyman Electrician for a manufacturing client based in Central Texas. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will scope electrical work requests and perform hands-on installation, modification, and termination work within an active production facility. You will work alongside other skilled trades while maintaining strong safety, quality, and attention-to-detail standards.

Responsibilities

• Review, prioritize, and help assign electrical work requests
• Walk down job sites, clarify requirements, and develop work plans for complex projects
• Review existing machine circuits and electrical lineups before completing modifications
• Pull and secure cable through existing cable trays
• Route wiring and install circuits and conduit as required
• Complete machine terminations using appropriate crimping and connector methods
• Coordinate planned electrical shutdowns and perform work on de-energized systems
• Collaborate with skilled trades in an active manufacturing environment

Requirements

• Journeyman Electrician qualification
• At least five years of electrical experience
• Commercial electrical experience in service, construction, or a comparable environment
• Experience working with 120-, 208-, and 480-volt electrical systems
• Ability to read electrical plans, review circuits, and complete cable and equipment terminations
• Working knowledge of electrical theory and its practical application
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to established safety and quality standards
• Ability to work onsite on a day shift, Monday through Friday, approximately 50 hours per week
• Willingness to work additional overtime when needed
• Industrial or production-facility electrical experience preferred
• Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship or comparable electrical coursework preferred
