JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN

D-Riven Engineered Solutions is seeking an Electrical Journeyman candidate that will be responsible for leading and executing electrical system installations, modifications, relocations, and removals in a manner consistent with D-Riven and Customer expectations and National Electrical Codes, with support from team members and apprentices.

Starting Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on skillset and experience)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

In this position, the employee will be responsible to:

· Uphold D-Riven’s health and safety standards throughout the execution of a given project, along with ensuring compliance with customer safety rules and regulations

· Execute tasks as directed by master electricians and project engineers

· Work with peers and apprentices to disassemble power distribution electrical equipment, replace defective, worn, or failed system components, and reassemble equipment

· Conduct and verify lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) of electrical sources prior to commencing work

· Develop task level material lists and supply them to those responsible for purchasing

· Gather tools and supplies to be used at the work site from internal stock, and suppliers

· Measure, cut, and bend EMT conduit, and thread rigid conduit

· Field-fit and install Unistrut frames and hangers, cable tray, and conduit piping

· Complete manual, and mechanically supported wire pulls and terminations

· Trace and label power distribution and control wiring prior to equipment removal

· Install/mount electrical system equipment including panels, disconnects, junction boxes, and motors

· Mentor apprentices and supervise their quality of work

· Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order

· Clean work areas, machines, tools, and equipment during and after use

· Perform other routine jobsite duties as directed by site management

Skills & Requirements:

·Willingness to travel full time (100% travel), and complete work nationwide

· Own and maintain a vehicle that is reliable and suited for interstate travel

· Own and maintain a basic set of hand tools (wrenches and sockets

The travel positions are 100% travel means you will be on the road with a travel team in other states 3-4 weeks at a time….sometimes a couple of months at a time.

  • All travel arrangements and expenses (hotel/flights/rental car) are made and paid for in advance by the company. If you drive your auto to the work site from home
  • You will be able to expense mileage at a rate of .725 per mile, but not to and from the jobsite each day from your hotel.
  • We also pay $70.00 per diem each day.
  • You accrue 120 hours of PTO (vacation, sick, personal days, etc) which you can take upon approval from your Manager.
  • Your health benefits package is active the first day of the month following your start date.
  • There are occasional breaks from the job, especially during holidays, but since you would be a member of the travel team, you will be traveling continuously.

Required Experience and/or Education:

· High school diploma or GED

· Electrical trade school and journeyman electrician license

· Knowledge of electrical theory, three-phase power, and industrial wiring methods

· Experience in operating aerial lifts, forklifts, and other powered equipment
