Minimum 3 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician

Venteon is currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Canton, MI

Requirements of the Journeyman Electrician

• Willingness to travel full time (100% travel), and complete work nationwide
  Own and maintain a vehicle that is reliable and suited for interstate travel
  Own and maintain a basic set of hand tools (wrenches and sockets <1 /25mm, screwdrivers, etc.)
  Possess mastery of the reading and interpretation of electrical schematics, and manuals
  Possess mastery of the use of electrical equipment and hand tools including:
  o Manual pipe benders, electric/hydraulic pipe benders bending pipe up to 4, knock-outs,
  Unistrut shears, cable cutters and crimpers, wire feeders and tuggers, and multimeters
  Exhibit strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  Demonstrate solid electrical aptitude and applicable mathematical ability
  Present knowledge and ability to adhere to all applicable codes and accepted best practices
  Willingness to work nights and weekends/variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Responsibilities of the Journeyman Electrician

• Uphold health and safety standards throughout the execution of a given project, along
  with ensuring compliance with customer safety rules and regulations
  Execute tasks as directed by master electricians and project engineers
  Work with peers and apprentices to disassemble power distribution electrical equipment, replace
  defective, worn, or failed system components, and reassemble equipment
  Conduct and verify lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) of electrical sources prior to commencing work
  Develop task level material lists and supply them to those responsible for purchasing
  Gather tools and supplies to be used at the work site from internal stock, and suppliers
  Measure, cut, and bend EMT conduit, and thread rigid conduit
  Field-fit and install Unistrut frames and hangers, cable tray, and conduit piping
  Complete manual, and mechanically supported wire pulls and terminations
  Trace and label power distribution and control wiring prior to equipment removal
  Install/mount electrical system equipment including panels, disconnects, junction boxes, and
  motors
  Mentor apprentices and supervise their quality of work
  Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order
  Clean work areas, machines, tools, and equipment during and after use
  Perform other routine jobsite duties as directed by site management
