Journeyman Electrician

Castles Electrical is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Journeyman Electrician, primarily residential work to join our growing team. We are looking for someone with a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on electrical experience who takes pride in quality workmanship, has excellent troubleshooting skills, and can work independently while providing outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate must have extensive residential electrical experience and be comfortable performing service work, remodels, panel upgrades, EV charger installations, lighting installations, and general residential electrical repairs. Light commercial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial electrical systems.
• Work independently from a company service truck while managing daily job assignments efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company work truck.
• Diagnose electrical issues and develop effective solutions in the field.
• Install and replace electrical panels and service equipment.
• Install Level 2 EV chargers, including Tesla, Emporia, ChargePoint, and other major brands.
• Install recessed lighting, ceiling fans, lighting fixtures, switches, receptacles, and dedicated circuits.
• Install power for pools, hot tubs, sheds, detached garages, workshops, and outdoor living spaces.
• Install exterior lighting, security lighting, landscape lighting, and weather-resistant receptacles.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, repairs, remodel wiring, and service upgrades.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams when required (preferred but not mandatory).
• Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, ammeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic instruments.
• Ensure all work complies with current National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and local building codes.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential hazards or code deficiencies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
• Complete required job documentation accurately and professionally.
• Communicate effectively with customers while representing Castles Electrical in a courteous and professional manner.
• Clean driving record within the last 5 years.
