Pay

About the Role

West Techs Chill Water Specialist is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to support commercial and industrial HVAC projects. This position focuses on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems that power chiller plants, boilers, cooling towers, and related mechanical equipment.

The electrician in this role works closely with HVAC, mechanical, and controls teams to ensure systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Install electrical infrastructure for commercial and industrial facilities, including HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Run, bend, and terminate conduit according to code and company workmanship standards
  • Install and maintain power distribution, control wiring, and electrical equipment
  • Interpret electrical drawings, one‑lines, schematics, and mechanical plans
  • Perform troubleshooting on electrical circuits, motors, controls, and panels
  • Complete equipment replacements and electrical load evaluations
  • Maintain organized, serviceable wiring for long‑term reliability
  • Safely operate jobsite equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts
  • Communicate progress and issues with supervisors, technicians, and customers
  • Follow all safety procedures, jobsite rules, and electrical code requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License (TDLR)
  • At least 4 years of hands‑on electrical experience
  • Experience with commercial and industrial electrical systems
  • Ability to read and apply electrical and construction documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Professional communication skills and jobsite presence
  • Willingness to take ownership of assigned work and follow through

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • One‑hour lunch
  • Occasional nights or weekends depending on project demands
