About the Role:

As a CBRE Journeyman Electrician, you will be critical to maintaining the safe and efficient operation of our large healthcare campus in Dallas, TX for our first shift. You will be responsible for performing essential electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance, ensuring a high standard of service for our patients and staff. An experienced team member will provide comprehensive training and support during the initial onboarding period.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Execute routine preventative and corrective maintenance on diverse building electrical systems, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
  • Conduct expert electrical troubleshooting and repair across all building systems, including motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, and cores.
  • Perform comprehensive maintenance and repair of generator systems, ensuring continuous power supply for critical operations.
  • Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and lighting systems, including the replacement of ballasts and other electrical components.
  • Lead the installation of new electrical equipment and systems, adhering to blueprints, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Complete assigned work orders accurately and efficiently, prioritizing tasks to minimize disruption to hospital operations and critical services.
  • Develop and implement proactive inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance schedules by reviewing historical maintenance records.
  • Respond to and resolve electrical work orders promptly, demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Assure that all electrical equipment is maintained and operating in a safe manner, adhering strictly to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Interact professionally and effectively with hospital staff, patients, and visitors, addressing electrical concerns with a client-focused approach and clear communication.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.
  • A Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
