Performs installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blue prints and written instruction
Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes
Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects
Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services
Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the field organization
Requirements
Possesses valid State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License
Possesses valid Driver’s License
Four years of commercial electrical experience supporting similar key responsibilities, preferred
Ability to work safely from ladders, scaffolds and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
Ability to frequently walk, stoop, kneel, reach and climb in inclement weather with exposure to extreme cold, heat, noise & dust
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 pounds of material & up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested
