Journeyman Electrician — Los Angeles | $70K–$75K | Path to Foreman

If you take pride in clean, code-compliant work - you already know not every crew operates at your level.

Pacific Electrical Services is hiring a Journeyman Electrician in Los Angeles. This is hands-on field work on real commercial projects, with zero tolerance for shortcuts.

$70,000–$75,000/year. One open seat. Clear path to Foreman for the right person.

COMPENSATION & PERKS

  • $70,000 – $75,000/year | Full-time | Night Shift | On-site/Field
  • Company-paid OSHA and trade certifications
  • Defined promotion path to Foreman
  • Health/dental/vision, 401K, PTO

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Install electrical systems to plans, specs, and NEC standards — conduit runs, wire pulls, panel terminations, and clean labeling
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose field issues independently
  • Test systems (continuity, phase rotation, voltage) and ensure work meets sign-off standards
  • Maintain organized job sites and support apprentices on your crew
  • Coordinate with foremen and other trades to keep projects moving efficiently

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • California Journeyman Electrician license — required
  • Hands-on experience with conduit, wire, panels, and diagnostic tools
  • Solid knowledge of NEC codes, OSHA standards, and blueprint reading
  • Takes ownership of work — no rework, no shortcuts
  • Wants to grow into a Foreman role — this is a career track, not just a job

Nice to have

  • Commercial or industrial project experience
  • Experience guiding or overseeing apprentices

YOUR DAY AS A JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN

  • You’ll be in the field — not behind a desk.
  • Install electrical systems to plans, specs, and NEC standards (conduit, wire, panels, labeling).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site, then test systems (continuity, phase rotation, voltage) to ensure safe, quality work.
  • Keep job sites clean and organized while supporting and guiding apprentices.
  • Coordinate with foremen and other trades to keep projects on track.
  • Expect travel to different job sites (~2x/week), including outside Los Angeles, and occasional night work depending on project needs.

This is a hands-on role — you’re expected to take ownership and deliver.

WHY THIS ROLE

  • We’re growing and we’re selective about who we bring in.
  • We promote from within and are transparent about advancement. If your goal is to lead your own crew and run projects within 12–18 months, this is where that path starts.
  • Steady work. Real standards. No corner-cutting.
