Position Summary
GMEA Electrical Services is actively hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role requires a highly skilled electrician who can work independently, lead crews when needed, and serve as a key resource for field leadership while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality.
Candidates should be comfortable working on large-scale projects and traveling wherever company projects require.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.
- Lead by example and help drive jobsite productivity.
- Mentor apprentices and assist in developing field personnel.
- Coordinate work activities with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen.
- Assist with crew leadership, task delegation, and project execution.
- Review plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure proper installation.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company standards.
- Identify potential issues and communicate solutions to project leadership.
- Support successful project completion through teamwork and accountability.
- Travel throughout Florida and other states as project needs require.
Qualifications
- Active Journeyman Electrician license.
- 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
- Experience working on large commercial, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, retail, or similar projects.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Proven ability to motivate team members and maintain a positive work environment.
- Ability to work directly with Project Managers and Superintendents.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
