Bilt Electric is seeking an experienced, dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our team. We are a small, family-run local business specializing in quality electrical work throughout San Diego County, with occasional travel to projects outside the county.
This position is ideal for a skilled electrician who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and wants to be part of a close-knit company where reliability and craftsmanship are valued.
Bilt Electric is a sub company of Tagg Construction. We are managing the candidate search but the position will be filled with Bilt Electric.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical plans, and wiring diagrams.
Perform electrical work in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes.
Diagnose electrical problems and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
Use electrical testing equipment and standard hand and power tools.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, contractors, and inspectors.
Travel to job sites throughout San Diego County and occasionally outside the county.
Qualifications
Valid journeyman electrician license or certification is required.
Demonstrated experience working as a journeyman electrician.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and applicable codes.
Ability to work in commercial and residential settings.
Motor Control experience a huge plus.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues independently.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to safely lift materials, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding environments.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
Willingness and ability to travel outside San Diego County when required.
