Journeyman Electrician

Bilt Electric is seeking an experienced, dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our team. We are a small, family-run local business specializing in quality electrical work throughout San Diego County, with occasional travel to projects outside the county.


This position is ideal for a skilled electrician who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and wants to be part of a close-knit company where reliability and craftsmanship are valued.

Bilt Electric is a sub company of Tagg Construction. We are managing the candidate search but the position will be filled with Bilt Electric.


Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform electrical work in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes.
• Diagnose electrical problems and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Use electrical testing equipment and standard hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, contractors, and inspectors.
• Travel to job sites throughout San Diego County and occasionally outside the county.

Qualifications

• Valid journeyman electrician license or certification is required.
• Demonstrated experience working as a journeyman electrician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and applicable codes.
• Ability to work in commercial and residential settings.
• Motor Control experience a huge plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues independently.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to safely lift materials, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding environments.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness and ability to travel outside San Diego County when required.
