Vector Talent Solutions is a veteran-owned workforce solutions firm dedicated to helping organizations identify, attract, and hire top talent. We are currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician for a client within the Power Generation Construction industry.
Our client is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to support a large-scale power generation project located in Eagle Mountain, Utah. This is a long-term, approximately 2-year project offering competitive pay, per diem, and the opportunity to work alongside a skilled team on a critical energy infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial or commercial electrical experience and be committed to quality workmanship, safety, and project success.
Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and controls.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and project drawings.
- Install conduit, cable trays, conductors, panels, switchgear, and associated electrical equipment.
- Perform wire terminations and testing on electrical systems and components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to support project timelines and operational requirements.
- Coordinate work activities with project management, contractors, and other trades.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while adhering to all site safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Current Utah Journeyman Electrician (JW) License or the ability to obtain Utah reciprocity.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in industrial, commercial, energy, or power generation environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and safety awareness.
Compensation
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Additional Benefits:
- Approximately 2-year project duration
- 6 days per week, 10-hour shifts
- $191/day per diem for travelers (days worked)
- $100/day per diem for local employees commuting to their primary residence each night
