Overview

We are seeking a certified Journeyman Electrician for a 6-month contract role supporting a first-of-its-kind industrial project. This position involves installation, integration, and startup of modular systems within a manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on role ideal for experienced industrial or commercial electricians who take pride in safety, quality, and precision work.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical components in industrial equipment and systems
  • Perform electrical installations as part of assembly and integration processes
  • Support system integration and assist with startup and commissioning activities
  • Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents accurately
  • Conduct quality checks, inspections, and ensure compliance with electrical codes
  • Maintain documentation including torque sheets, tool tracking, and 5S practices
  • Promote and follow strict safety protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently

Required Qualifications

  • Active Journeyman Electrician license (must be verifiable through state licensing system)
  • Industrial or commercial electrical experience (residential experience will not be considered)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents
  • Experience bending conduit and installing large cables
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work (standing, bending, climbing ladders)
  • OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • High school diploma or GED; trade school or apprenticeship completion preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with 5S methodology and continuous improvement practices
  • Experience working on large-scale or modular projects
