Journeyman Electrician (West TX/Southern NM)

Position Summary

Tetra Tech Digital Systems is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to support industrial, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects throughout West Texas and New Mexico. This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems in field environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical power, control, and instrumentation systems.
• Install and terminate conduit, cable tray, power, control, and communication cabling.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues.
• Support commissioning, startup, maintenance, and facility upgrades.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-lines, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
• Lead small crews and mentor apprentices while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Current Journeyman Electrician License required. Texas or New Mexico license preferred.
• 5+ years of industrial electrical experience.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Midstream, Compressor Stations, Processing Facilities, or similar industrial environments preferred.
• Working knowledge of NEC and industrial electrical practices.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass required screenings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physically demanding field work.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and industrial environments.
• Ability to travel throughout West Texas and New Mexico.
