Journeyman HVAC Service Technician

Title, Location, Schedule & Pay

• Job Title: Commercial HVAC Service Technician (Journeyman / MES)

• Location: Royal Oak, MI (Servicing Southeast MI — Dispatched from home)

• Schedule: Full-time, Mon–Fri (7:00 AM–9:00 AM start times). Typical 40–55 hrs/wk with available overtime. No regular on-call; rare weekend work.

• Pay: $52.46+ per hour

Job Qualifications

• Experience: Commercial/industrial HVAC background required. Pipefitters Local 636 membership or Journeyman status preferred.

• Technical Knowledge: Rooftop units (up to 50 tons), process chillers (1–15 tons), and boilers (100k+ BTU). Medical chiller experience is a plus.

• Requirements: Valid driver's license, personal hand tools (up to mega-ohm meter), and strong diagnostic skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Field Service: Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on commercial/industrial HVAC systems across Southeast Michigan.

• Equipment Maintenance: Service commercial RTUs, chillers, hydronic boilers, and specialized process cooling equipment.

• Daily Operations: Dispatch directly from home to customer sites, working independently to deliver high-quality service.
