This role requires a skilled professional with a strong background in structural steel erection, rigging, and ironwork safety practices. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Erect, align, and secure structural steel components
Perform rigging, hoisting, and signaling operations
Bolt, weld, and connect steel framework safely and accurately
Install metal decking, bar joists, and other structural components
Inspect materials and equipment to ensure quality and safety standards
Maintain compliance with all OSHA and site-specific safety regulations
Collaborate with crew members and supervisors to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Journeyman Ironworker
Strong knowledge of structural steel erection and rigging techniques
Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
Proficient in using ironworking tools and equipment
