Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced, Colorado-licensed Journeyman Lead Electrician to take ownership of field installations and help direct crews on active projects.

This position requires strong heavy multifamily, commercial, and industrial electrical experience. The right candidate can lead by example, read plans, organize daily work, solve field problems, maintain production, and ensure installations meet code and company standards.


Responsibilities

  • Lead electricians and apprentices during daily field operations
  • Assign work and help maintain crew productivity
  • Perform and oversee electrical installations from rough-in through final completion
  • Install conduit, feeders, branch circuits, panels, devices, equipment, and system connections
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documents
  • Plan material, equipment, and labor needs for upcoming work
  • Coordinate daily activities with foremen, project managers, general contractors, and other trades
  • Identify field conflicts and provide practical solutions
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and installation issues
  • Ensure work complies with the NEC, Colorado and local codes, project specifications, and company standards
  • Conduct quality checks and prepare completed work for inspection
  • Correct deficiencies and complete punch-list items
  • Enforce OSHA requirements and company safety procedures
  • Lead toolbox talks and confirm proper PPE use
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
  • Track labor, production, materials, and completed work
  • Provide accurate progress updates to project leadership
  • Mentor apprentices and less-experienced electricians
  • Use company software for field reports, timekeeping, material tracking, and safety documentation

Requirements

  • Active Colorado Journeyman Electrician License -- required
  • At least four years of hands-on electrical construction experience
  • Strong heavy multifamily electrical experience
  • Commercial electrical construction experience
  • Industrial electrical construction experience
  • Previous experience leading electricians, apprentices, or small field crews
  • Strong knowledge of the NEC, Colorado electrical codes, and OSHA standards
  • Ability to independently read and work from electrical plans and specifications
  • Experience with conduit layout, wire pulls, panels, feeders, equipment connections, and electrical distribution systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Reliable communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds, climb ladders, use lifts, and work in varying jobsite conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation

Pay and Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2 position
  • Hourly pay of $35 to $45, based on experience, licensing, and leadership ability
  • Project-completion bonus opportunities
  • Overtime paid at time and a half in accordance with Colorado law
