Position Overview- Dade Electric Service is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and
repair electrical systems on commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects throughout
South Florida.
- This role works closely with project managers, foremen, and field crews to ensure electrical
Systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Install conduit systems, panels, switchgear, lighting, and power distribution
- Perform troubleshooting and electrical testing
- Ensure installations meet NEC and local code requirements
- Follow company safety procedures and jobsite safety policies
- Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, and other trades
- Assist with system startup, testing, and commissioning
Qualifications- Journeyman electrician license or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of electrical installation experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with NEC and electrical safety standards
- Ability to work in active construction environments
- Experience with municipal or wastewater treatment plant projects
- Experience with medium-voltage systems
- OSHA certification is a plus
