Pay Range: $33.00 - $35.50/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (M-F)
A Canton, Ohio area manufacture seeks to hire an Industrial Maintenance Electrician who has experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, installing and repairing industrial electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems
Diagnose and repair 480V three-phase electrical equipment
Maintain and troubleshoot high-voltage electrical systems up to 69,000 volts
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and ladder logic systems
Maintain AC and DC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and electrical controls
Service overhead cranes, air compressors, induction furnaces, and production equipment
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
Assist in training and mentoring electrical apprentices through the company's learner program
Follow OSHA regulations, National Electrical Code (NEC), and all company safety procedures
Requirements
Valid Journeyman Electrician Card (required)
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a recognized Electrical Apprenticeship Program with on-the-job training
Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, steel mills, foundries, or similar industrial environments preferred
Experience troubleshooting PLC systems and industrial automation equipment
Knowledge of industrial electrical tools and testing equipment
Ability to operate man lifts, aerial lifts, and scaffolding
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a foundry or machine shop environment
Exposure to heat, cold, dust, vibration, and industrial noise
Frequently lift 25-50 pounds
Comfortable working at heights using ladders, cranes, scaffolding, and aerial lifts
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including:
Hard hat
Steel-toe boots
Safety glasses
Hearing protection
Additional PPE as required
