Journeyman Painter

Chroma Colors, Inc. is hiring an experienced Journeyman Painter to join our team. We specialize in high-end residential painting throughout Marin, San Francisco, Sonoma, Napa, the East Bay, and the Peninsula.

We are looking for a skilled, dependable painter who takes pride in producing clean, professional work and can efficiently perform all responsibilities expected of an experienced journeyman painter.

Pay: $30-$35 per hour Depending on experience and demonstrated skill

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

Location: San Rafael, CA, with travel to job sites throughout the Bay Area

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum five years of professional painting experience
• Strong high-end residential painting experience
• Valid driver’s license, reliable work vehicle, and basic hand tools
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Professional appearance and respectful communication
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a crew
• Ability to follow directions, product specifications, and jobsite procedures
• Ability to safely work from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
• Ability to lift and carry painting equipment and materials
• Authorization to work in the United States

EXPECTED SKILLS

Applicants should be experienced and efficient in:

• Interior and exterior preparation
• Protecting occupied homes, furnishings, floors, and surrounding surfaces
• Sanding, scraping, caulking, patching, filling, and spot priming
• Drywall and plaster repairs
• Brush and roller application
• Airless spraying
• Fine-finish trim, doors, cabinetry, and millwork
• Proper masking and dust-control procedures
• Applying primers, paints, stains, clear finishes, and specialty coatings
• Identifying surface and coating issues before application
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
• Completing work within assigned labor hours while maintaining quality standards
