Job Summary:

Our GDI Ainsworth - Mechanicsburg branch is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial/Industrial Plumber to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across large-scale commercial and industrial facilities. We’re looking for a professional with a strong safety mindset, proven technical expertise, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality results on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for water, gas, drainage, and process systems
• Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
• Perform layout, cutting, threading, and fitting of various piping materials (copper, PVC, cast iron, steel, etc.)
• Install and service fixtures, valves, pumps, and related mechanical equipment
• Diagnose issues and troubleshoot/repair plumbing systems in commercial and industrial environments
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and union standards
• Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to meet project deadlines
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe, reliable working condition

Qualifications:

• Membership in Local 520 Union (or willingness/ability to join)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial plumbing
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Demonstrated work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• OSHA certification considered an asset
