Journeyman Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of a strategic communications, outreach, and multimedia services contract supporting the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Verification Division (VER). This position serves as the primary point of contact between the contractor and the Government and is responsible for ensuring all contract requirements are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards.
This is a primarily remote position supporting USCIS Headquarters. Contractor personnel may work remotely; however, the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) may request in-person meetings or engagements as needed. Designated key personnel must be able to report onsite within four (4) hours of a COR request.
This is a full-time position offering Fortune 500-level health/dental/vision, PTO, paid federal holidays, 401k, and Life Insurance.Job SummaryThe Journeyman Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and successful performance of all contract activities supporting USCIS Verification Division strategic communications initiatives. The Project Manager serves as the single point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and Government Program Manager while ensuring all personnel, deliverables, and project schedules remain aligned with contract requirements.
The Project Manager oversees project planning, quality assurance, staffing, communications, risk management, and customer engagement while leading weekly status meetings and ensuring timely completion of all required deliverables.
Requirements- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a favorable DHS/USCIS Entry on Duty (EOD) determination
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience managing federal government contracts involving the planning, development, and implementation of outreach communications campaigns and services
- Must possess sufficient organizational and technical ability to commit resources necessary for campaign development, communications products and services, and contract deliverables
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Must be able to report to USCIS Headquarters in Camp Springs, MD within four (4) hours when requested by the COR
Major Duties- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer, COR, and Government Program Manager.
- Manage all work performed under the contract and oversee project planning, staffing, scheduling, and execution.
- Schedule and support the contract kickoff meeting.
- Develop and maintain the Project Management Plan.
- Develop and maintain the Quality Control Plan.
- Conduct regularly scheduled weekly meetings with Government stakeholders.
- Prepare weekly meeting agendas and minutes.
- Prepare monthly contract status reports.
- Monitor contract performance, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate issue resolution and risk mitigation activities.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and established timelines.
- Supervise contractor personnel and coordinate work assignments.
- Maintain effective communication with Government leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with DHS, USCIS, security, and contractual requirements.
- Perform additional duties necessary to support successful contract performance.
