Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanic - Commercial
Location: Austin, TX - job sites in North Austin and West Austin
Pay: $25-$30/hr, based on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be available.
Job Summary
We're looking for experienced Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanics for commercial construction projects in the Austin area. You should be comfortable working from plans, installing ductwork, and handling the day-to-day work of a commercial HVAC job site.
Responsibilities
Install commercial ductwork, fittings, hangers, and related sheet metal components
Read blueprints and layout work in the field
Measure, cut, and fit material as needed
Work safely and coordinate with the foreman and other trades
Qualifications
Journeyman-level commercial sheet metal experience
Able to read plans and work with minimal supervision
Own basic hand tools and reliable transportation to North and West Austin job sites
Able to follow job site safety requirements
