Why this role matters

Imagine tooling that enables life‑saving medical devices, dependable electrical connections, and efficient hybrid vehicles. Our client is a leader in precision metal stampings across medical, automotive, and electrical connector markets—touching products such as EpiPens, blood collection devices, and surgical instruments. Your craftsmanship keeps these parts in spec and production lines running.

Could this be you?

  • Can you read complex prints/CAD and turn them into progressive dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures that pass First Article the first time?
  • When a die misbehaves mid‑run, are you the go‑to troubleshooter who diagnoses, repairs, and gets parts flowing?
  • Do you thrive partnering with engineers and press operators to boost uptime, quality, and throughput?

What you’ll tackle

  • Design, fabricate, assemble, and maintain precision tooling and complex progressive dies.
  • Set up and run stamping presses and supporting equipment, including manual mills, lathes, and grinders.
  • Perform in‑press adjustments and preventative/corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Qualify tooling to First Article requirements and meet quality, efficiency, and production targets.

Background that fits

  • 5–10+ years of tool & die experience or a completed state‑approved apprenticeship.
  • Mastery of blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measuring.
  • Solid command of machine shop practices, machining operations, mechanical principles, and material characteristics.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; vocational tool & die certificate preferred.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Shifts that fit

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 pm–1:30 am
