JP1761 - Product Owner - Expert

Location: Chicago, Illinois (Onsite)

Role Overview

The main function of a Product Owner is to maximize sales, revenue, market share, and profit margins by leading a team to deliver an end product. This role is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. The Product Owner will guide the delivery of a product through its lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements to define the product vision.
• Work closely with other company departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
• Ensure that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
• Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
• Author user stories and acceptance criteria, and execute a portion of the testing on projects.
• Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
• Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelors degree in a related field is required.

Experience: 8-10 years of experience is required.

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

Preferred Qualifications

• An MBA or other related advanced degree is preferred.
