Position Summary Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM) is seeking a Junior Application Developer to design, build, and maintain applications for internal and external customers. This role offers hand-on experience with API integrations, automation solutions, business intelligence reporting, and web development in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The Jr. Application Developer will work under the guidance of the Manager of Application Development to deliver impactful, real-world applications in a critical industry. Successful candidates must have at least 3 years of development experience, including strong experience with SQL.
Important: This is an on-site position located in Rockaway, New Jersey. No remote candidates will be considered.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain data pipelines, API integrations, automations, business intelligence reports, and web and mobile applications. Collaborate with business analysts, operations teams, and senior developers to gather requirements and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. Monitor and optimize existing systems for improved functionality, performance, and user experience. Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues across development and production environments. Document technical specifications, workflows, and system architecture.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 3+ years of application development experience. Strong experience with SQL (T-SQL preferred). Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python preferred). Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) tools (Qlik preferred). Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with web and mobile application development. Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and the ability to validate AI-generated output. Exposure to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools (Automation Anywhere preferred). Experience with project management tools (e.g., Azure Boards, Microsoft Planner). Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React). Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Intermodal industry or supply chain background.
