Location: Fort Worth, TX – Hybrid onsite 3 days per week
Duration: Contract to Hire
Compensation: $43/hr. W2

Position SummaryWe are seeking an
Associate Data Engineer to join a collaborative data engineering team responsible for building and supporting cloud-based data and analytics solutions. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer with
1–3 years of experience who has a strong foundation in
SQL, Python, Microsoft Azure, and data engineering and is looking to continue developing their technical skills in an enterprise environment.
You will work closely with senior developers and a technical lead, receiving clear direction while gaining hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Partner with application teams, product owners, and developers to design, implement, and support data and analytics solutions.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and data migration solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Develop data solutions utilizing technologies such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
- Use SQL and Python to ingest, transform, prepare, and analyze data.
- Participate throughout the development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, performance tuning, and production support.
- Assist with data modeling, ingestion, preparation, and consumption of enterprise data.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines within a DevOps environment.
- Collaborate with senior engineers while also taking ownership of assigned development tasks.
- Troubleshoot data and application issues and assist with implementing solutions.
- Follow established coding standards, development best practices, and privacy and security guidelines.
- Participate in an Agile/DevOps team that owns and supports its products from development through production.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
- 1–3 years of professional data engineering or software development experience.
- 1 years of experience building data solutions using Agile and DevOps practices.
- 1 years of hands-on experience with SQL and data analytics.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud technologies.
- Experience using Python for data processing, development, or automation.
- Understanding of data engineering, data pipelines, and big data concepts.
- Knowledge of software design and development principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow technical direction.
- Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively within a development team.
Preferred Qualifications- 2 years of software or data solution development experience.
- 2 years of experience working with SQL and Python.
- Experience with Apache Spark.
- Experience with Azure Databricks.
- Exposure to Azure data services including:
- Azure Data Lake Storage
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Functions
- Event Hubs
- Azure Stream Analytics
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and administration.
