Additional Information:
Under the direction and supervision of the Principal or designee, the candidate will plan instruction, teach, differentiate instruction, motivate, inspire, and assess students subject area assigned. The candidate will promote a high-quality, personalized education program that reflects the TEKS Content Standards.
- Develops and presents lessons that demonstrate planning and preparation while using a variety of instructional techniques and materials, which are appropriate to meet the needs of all students.
- Organizes classroom systems/procedures and manages student behavior to ensure all students are fully engaged and learning.
- Collaborates with special education staff to attain goals designated in students IEPs and 504 plans.
- Actively participates in professional development opportunities and collaborates with district personnel and peers to improve the quality of student outcomes and planning curriculum.
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data.
- Establishes a culture of high expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
