We are looking for an IT Support Specialist I to provide frontline technical support to in-office and remote employees. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to build hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Office 365, networking, and system administration fundamentals while working alongside a collaborative IT team.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support:
Provide Level I support for hardware, software, and basic network issues.
Assist employees with Office 365 setup, troubleshooting, and day-to-day use.
Log, triage, and escalate tickets to senior IT staff as needed.
System and Device Support:
Assist with device imaging, setup, and deployment for new and existing users.
Support basic user and device management in Active Directory and/or cloud identity platforms.
Assist with routine system monitoring and maintenance tasks under guidance from senior staff.
Remote and Onsite Support:
Provide technical support to remote employees, including basic VPN and remote desktop assistance.
Occasional travel to various locations for onsite support as needed.
Documentation:
Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and processes in the company knowledge base.
Maintain accurate records of tickets, incidents, and device inventory.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience/certifications).
0–2 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role; internships or self-directed technical experience considered.
Technical Skills:
Basic familiarity with Windows, macOS, and/or Linux environments.
Exposure to Office 365 and Active Directory (formal administration experience not required).
Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Willingness to learn scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) a plus.
